July 3:  POPS on Independence             Kick off your July 4th holiday with a free POPS concert at Independence Hall.  For the second year in a row, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops and The Voices of The POPS will take the stage in front of Independence Hall to perform a free concert to honor our nation's birthday and to celebrate the first-time lighting of this historic building.  A perfect evening for the whole family!  The concert begins at 8:00 pm.  Click here for more information and for additional July 3 events.

 

 

July 4 (Morning)     Liberty Medal          Award Ceremony          Always a highlight of Philadelphia's July 4th celebration, The Philly Pops Festival Brass and The Voices of The POPS join in honoring the 2005 recipient of this prestigious award at Independence Mall. Considered to be one of the most significant prizes in the world for extraordinary leadership, Peter Nero and the Philly Pops is honored to be a participant in this event.  The ceremony starts at 9:00 am with limited seating, so plan to arrive early.

 

 

July 4: Philadelphia Freedom Concert -- a free concert to celebrate America's independence and raise awareness of HIV/AIDS on the Ben Franklin Parkway.  Peter Nero is the music director of this very special fundraiser concert with rock icon Sir Elton John and featuring an awesome line-up of guests including Patti LaBelle, Bryan Adams and Walter Cronkite.  This free concert, followed by a spectacular fireworks display, begins at 8:30 pm on the steps of the Philadelphia Museum of Art.  Don't miss this incredible event!  Click here for more information.
