Get Goosebumps at Fright Night with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops! Joining the Fun will be string trio Time For Three!!
09/10/2004

Opening night for Peter Nero and the Philly Pops 26th season is Wednesday, October 27th, and it should be a frightening good evening! Just in time for Halloween, it.s the music that puts the .horror. in horror flicks. The screeching strings that made you never want to step into a shower stall. Those two notes that had you terrified to swim in the ocean! It.ll be an evening of movie music you never forgot!

And making the night even more memorable, Peter welcomes Time for Three to the Verizon Hall stage. Violinists Zachary DePue and Nicolas Kendall, and double bassist Ranaan Meyer came together while enrolled at Philadelphia.s Curtis Institute of Music. They share a mutual love of .fiddling. in the country and western, and bluegrass styles. They also share an understanding of the melodic and passionate music of the Hungarian and Spanish gypsies.

Time for Three debuted at Boston.s Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum, The Kennedy Center.s Terrace Theater, and at New York.s 92nd Street Y. Additional performances include The Ocean City (NJ) Pops, the Endless Mountains Arts Series Festival, The Brooklyn Friends of Music, and as Artists in Residence at Philadelphia.s Fleisher Art Memorial. Their first CD was released in October 2002, and a second recording is forthcoming.

Performances of Fright Night begin Wednesday, October 27th at 8 pm; Friday, October 29th at 8 pm; Saturday, October 30th at 2 pm and Sunday, October 31st at 3 pm.
