Performance kicks off the 2007 Mann Center Summer Season

WHAT: Peter Nero and the Philly Pops� kick off the 2007 Mann Center Summer Season with a performance showcasing Jennifer Holliday, one of the most powerful soul voices of the last 25 years. It was her triumphant role as Effie in the original Broadway smash Dreamgirls that made her a star. At age 21, she won a Tony Award� for her show-stopping portrayal and her first Grammy� for �And I�m Telling You I�m Not Going.� Now she brings her powerhouse voice to the Mann stage and joins Peter Nero and the Philly Pops for �One Night Only!� Fireworks follow this spectacular, once-in-a-lifetime performance.
