His name evokes memories of the Jazz Age, the Roaring Twenties, flappers, and a wealth of musicals that came from a creative imagination that was unmatched by his contemporaries. Gershwin represented all this and so much more -- from opera to concert, vaudeville to Broadway. Peter and The POPS bring you an evening of all Gershwin, beginning with his orchestral music and finishing with a special concert version of his beloved opera, Porgy and Bess.
