Brent Barrett
Brent Barrett made his Broadway debut as Tony in the revival
of WEST SIDE STORY, which he continued in the international
tour. Mr. Barrett continued on Broadway in the Alan Jay Lerner musical
DANCE A LITTLE CLOSER; Frank Butler in the
Broadway revival of Irving Berlin's ANNIE GET YOUR GUN
(opposite Reba McEntire); Billy Flynn in CHICAGO
- THE MUSICAL; Maximillion in the Broadway production
of CANDIDE. He was nominated for an Olivier Award,
for his role of Fred Graham/Petrucchio in the London premier
of the revival of KISS ME, KATE.
Mr. Barrett has performed with opera companies throughout the United
States, including the role of Tommy Albright in New York City Opera's
production of BRIGADOON. Other operatic performances
have been with the Minnesota Opera, Opera Pacific, Michigan Opera
and Kentucky Opera. Mr. Barrett has also appeared as a soloist with
some of the finest pops and symphonic orchestras in the U.S. and England,
including the Boston Pops, The New York Festival of Song at Carnegie
Hall, the London Sinfonetta and the Birmingham Symphony under the
direction of Sir Simon Rattle.
The Kander and Ebb Album is Mr. Barrett's first solo CD,
and he recently released his second recording, The Alan Jay Lerner
Album. He can also be heard on the following recordings; BRIGADOON,
GRAND HOTEL, DANCE A LITTE CLOSER, SHOW STOPPERS, THE BUZBY BERKELY
ALBUM, LOST IN BOSTON IV, UNSUM MUSICALS VOL. III AND THE MAURY YESTON

Over the years Mr. Barrett has appeared in television and film, including
Hercules, Longtime Companion, All My Children, Another World
and Guiding Light.
