Peter Nero and the Philly POPS� Play the Music Their Subscribers Want to Hear for The Peter PrinciPAL Concert Series!
The votes are in! Our subscribers have told us their favorite songs, their top composers and their most-listened-to style of music�.. and Peter Nero and the Philly POPS are set to play it all in The Peter PrinciPAL concert series! Performances begin on Wednesday, March 17 at 8pm and continue on Friday March 19 at 8 pm; Saturday, March 20 at 2 pm and Sunday, March 21 at 3 pm. Peter Nero and the Philly POPS� perform in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center for the Performing Arts in Philadelphia.
More than 50% of the POPS subscribers cast their vote, and the winning songs will be revealed on opening night. But you should expect to hear some Gershwin and Cole Porter, a little Irving Berlin, Jerome Kern and Richard Rodgers, too. There may even be some Mozart melodies! All selected by our loyal audience and played to perfection by Peter and the POPS orchestra.
Peter Nero�s impressive career as a conductor, arranger, composer, pianist and recording artist includes two Grammy Awards. He has received 10 Grammy Award nominations for the 67 albums that he has recorded over the past 40 years. Maestro Nero accompanies Rod Stewart on the standard "Don�t Get Around Much Anymore", on his latest album As Time Goes By�The Great American Songbook: Volume II.
