July 3rd at 6:30 pm!

Pack a picnic basket with your favorite foods and grab those lawn chairs for a music-filled evening at Independence National Historic Park July 3rd when Peter Nero and the Philly Pops present POPS on Independence!

Beginning at 6:30 pm, the Mall will be filled with the sound of your favorite patriotic tunes, rousing marches and poignant melodies showcasing the vast songbook of American music. And The Voices of the POPS will be there, too, singing those wonderful songs that just fill your heart with pride in our great nation!

With Independence Hall behind them, Peter Nero and Americaï¿½s favorite Pops Orchestra will play until approximately 8:30 pm, with a short intermission taking place at 7:30 pm. There will be chairs available in front of the stage for about 1500 people, but early arrivers will quickly occupy them. The public is encouraged to bring their beach chairs and blankets, and spread out over the lawn area.

Across Market Street, food vendors will be selling many hot and cold items in front of Independence Visitors Center. And sound will be available on the lawn area there, too, so that everyone will hear Peter Nero and the Philly Pops perform.

Join Peter and the POPS in the birthplace of America for a memorable evening, and the first of what will become an annual event for celebrating Americaï¿½s birthday!

Peter Nero and the Philly POPSï¿½ is presented by Encore Series, Inc., a non-profit organization enriching the cultural life of Philadelphia through the performing arts.
