Auditions for The POPS Festival Chorus will be held on Tuesday, June 26th!05/31/2012Auditions for the POPS Festival Chorus will be held on Tuesday evening, June 26, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM in the Merriam Theater Building, 250 South Broad Street, Room 506. The POPS Festival Chorus sings annually with Peter Nero and the Philly POPS for the Holiday POPS Concert Series. The Holiday POPS performances are December 7, 8, 9, 12, 14, 15, 16, 19, 22 in Verizon Hall in the Kimmel Center. Rehearsals are held every Tuesday evening, beginning on October 16, at St. Luke and the Epiphany, 330 South 13th Street, Philadelphia, PA. Please note that The POPS Festival Chorus is not compensated. Audition requirements: Please prepare a minimum of 16 measures of a song, any style. An accompanist will be provided. Minimal music reading skills are required. Sight singing will be a requirement for the audition. Please contact Pat Wells at 215-875-8004 to arrange an audition time. Members of the 2010 and 2011 Festival Chorus do not need to audition. An invitation email will be sent to previous participants. If you do not receive an invitation to participate, please contact the Philly POPS Office to be added to the audition list.
