PHILADELPHIA, PA (August 1, 2013) To signal an exciting new era for the citys beloved Philly POPS, a brand new gala has been created to kick off the new season in a grand way. Its the Inaugural POPS BALL taking place on Wednesday, September 18 at the Hyatt at the Bellevue on Avenue of the Arts. In fact, theres never been a ball quite like it! With the stage extended in the grand ballroom of The Hyatt, guests will be treated to an intimate concert by The Philly POPS, led by the new music director Maestro Michael Krajewski, with highlights of musical features from the upcoming season. Joining him will be Philadelphias own Eddie Bruce, previewing the music he will sing when he debuts with The Philly POPS in October. In addition, after the dinner hour, guests will be invited to dance to The POPS! Its the first time, in The POPS 35 year history, that guests have been invited to such a personal concert and to dance to the music of The POPS.
We feel the best way to introduce our new maestro and communicate our excitement about his arrival in our city is to welcome Michael Krajewski in classic Philadelphia style, with a ball at the Bellevue, one the citys most elegant ballrooms, said Frank Giordano, President & CEO of The Philly POPS. This evening filled with such great entertainment will allow our guests to really share in the excitement of our new season, the new energy of The Philly POPS.
