One of the few people to receive an EGOT (Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony Awards), Hamlisch is also the author of a children�s book �Marvin Makes Music� (Penguin Books) that has made a positive impact on thousands of young people encouraging them to reach for their dreams as he did as a young boy.
Barnes & Noble is hosting Philly POPS Day on Thursday, March 13 at noon at their Rittenhouse Square store at 1805 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, inviting guests to meet Tony Award-winning actress Donna McKechnie, who originated the role of Cassie in A Chorus Line. Donna will read from the book and singers from the String Theory High School will perform a selection of music written by Hamlisch.

Taking place on Friday, March 14 (8 p.m.), Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16 (3 p.m.) in Verizon Hall at The Kimmel Center, Blank, the guest artists will not only present wonderful musical memories with the audience, they�ll share personal recollections of Marvin Hamlisch as well.
