In addition to his collaborations with renowned composers like Irving Berlin, Johnny Mercer and Duke Ellington, Arlen wrote dozens of film scores, composed a host of Broadway hits and had a long-time association with Harlem's famous Cotton Club, where he produced the classic Stormy Weather. This was definitely a man who had "the world on a string!"
