VOYAGE INTO SPACE
John Glenn pioneered many new frontiers as both astronaut and U.S Senator. As the FIRST American to orbit the earth, he became the FIRST hero of his generation. Now, be witness to another First - his FIRST performance with a symphony orchestra�Peter Nero and the Philly Pops.
This season marks the 40th anniversary of the Senator's first space launch. His recent return to space in 1998 brought worldwide attention and reminded us all that he is a TRUE GREAT AMERICAN HERO. To celebrate John Glenn joins his friend Peter Nero and the Philly Pops as special guest star and narrator of Peter's original composition "Voyage Into Space"
The concert will feature the full POPS orchestra, video
screens and special effects. With space as the theme, ' the evening will be a multi-media extravaganza
designed to transport you to the stars, with John Glenn as your guide.
