	Guest Artist: Alice Ripley Alice Ripley lives on the third floor of an apartment building in Chelsea, New York, with two cats (the primary cat and a spare) and a husband, Shannon Ford (in the grand tradition of chick singers, she is married to her drummer). If you go over unannounced, she probably won't be there, but if you're lucky you might find her on her living room sofabed watching Lifetime movies and eating things made out of soy. Years ago, Alice got a job on the national tour of Les Miserables, which required her to die a slow depressing death eight times a week onstage, but on the upside gave her a room all to herself and enough downtime to read The Mists of Avalon. She went on to star in the Broadway casts of The Who's Tommy (the one about the pinball wizard), Sunset Blvd. ("I'm ready for my close-up," etc), James Joyce's The Dead (the one about the Irish Christmas party and how we'll all be dead soon), The Rocky Horror Show ("Damn it, Janet!") and Side Show (the one about the Siamese twins, for which she was nominated for a Tony Award for Best Actress in a Musical, along with Emily Skinner, who is not Alice, and God help the next person to confuse them.) Alice grew up the middle child of eleven, which means she has very few boundary issues and will let you eat off her plate and borrow her stuff. It also means she has written a lot of songs about how everyone keeps eating off her plate and borrowing her stuff. She is also annoyed by New York cabbies, ungrammatical advertisements, and sports announcers with French accents. This aside, she is basically a nice person and if you step on her foot, she will probably apologize.
